Ryan Rankin is the Neighbourhood Engagement Officer for Queen’s University Belfast, having joined the University in January 2019 from the Northern Ireland Civil Service.

Since joining Queen’s Ryan has been responsible for the development of Queen’s Neighbourhood Engagement Strategy which draws on world leading engagement strategies within Town and Gown areas. Ryan has developed strong links into residents groups within South Belfast where he represents the University in resolving student related issues for local communities. Queen’s University is an anchor institution within the South Belfast community and has deep roots within the South Belfast area. Ryan represents the University on the Executive Board and as a Director of Forward South Partnership – an independent charity that works with community, schools, business, public and private sector partners to help regenerate and sustain a healthy and prosperous South Belfast.
