Katie Latchford spent 15 years working in local government with portfolios covering Community Safety, Community Development and Public Health. Her work has taken her across the county from Dover, to London and Grimsby.

Katie made the move to the University sector in 2015, joining Canterbury Christ Church University in the new post of Community Liaison Manager.  The University has maintained a focus on its impact in the city of Canterbury, with Katie leading on partnership working with the Students’ Union, residents’ associations, voluntary and statutory organisations. In her 4 years in the role, Katie has been instrumental in improving relationships across the city and developing several innovative projects.

In July 2019, Katie took up the post of Senior Estates and Facilities Manager, Accommodation, Conferencing and Events at Canterbury Christ Church University, and has continued her off campus focus in beginning work with accommodation providers across the city.
